Blancpain opens a new “Shop-in-Shop” Japan
Blancpain is proud to announce the opening of a new “Blancpain Shop-in-Shop” in Japan’s second largest city, Osaka. The new Shop-in-Shop is located in the Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store.
The new Shop-in-Shop was opened on the occasion of the remodeling of the Hankyu Department Store Umeda Main Store’s 7th floor luxury watch shop area. The Blancpain Shop-in-Shop reflects Blancpain’s proud history and its commitment to the expression “Innovation is Our Tradition”. Crafted by a skilled cabinet-maker from the Vallée de Joux, the interior design is imbued with the regional heritage and the Blancpain horological know- how perpetuated for more than 270 years. Noble woodwork, refined moldings, along with pure and streamlined furniture and displays, all combine to create a warm and cozy aesthetic. In the shop, visitors have the opportunity to admire Blancpain’s masterpieces such as the Carrousel Volant Une Minute, the Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe and the Ladybird.
Throughout its history, Blancpain has distinguished itself by its capacity to develop exceptional movements that have made their mark on successive eras. In-house development and production of the components and tools; manual assembly of each movement by a single watchmaker; refined and entirely hand-crafted finishing right the way through to the tiniest hidden details: Blancpain’s strength lies in its ability to create timepieces that are both innovative and respectful of the noble Swiss watchmaking tradition.
