Breitling Wingwalkers to perform at Al Ain Air Championship
The Breitling Wingwalkers have confirmed that they will be continuing a five-month long tour of the UAE with adrenaline-filled performances at the forthcoming Al Ain Air Championship, followed by two further appearances in Abu Dhabi in March 2016.
Following successful displays at the Dubai Airshow 2015 and the multi-discipline World Air Games event in Dubai, Breitling’s aerobatic aviation team have proven popular since their first visit to the region in 2013. The team will take to the air at the Al Ain Air Championship (17th – 19th December), Abu Dhabi Air Expo (8th – 10th March) and the Abu Dhabi Red Bull Air Race (11th – 12th March).
During each of their performances the Breitling Wingwalkers pilots perform a display of close formation aerobatics, daring crossover manoeuvres and a series of aerial stunts as the wingwalker girls ride on top of the wings of the two Breitling-liveried 1930’s Boeing Stearman bi-planes. Enduring speeds of up to 150mp/h forces, the girls demonstrate their strength as they execute gymnastic-like routines during the flight, even taking time to wave to the spectators below.
“The UAE has become synonymous with world class aviation and now plays host to some of the world’s best industry events, which is why Breitling has decided to extend the wingwalkers’ tour of the country, basing them here until March 2016,” commented Aed Adwan from Breitling Middle East. “Their performances are not replicated by any other aviation team in world and the level of precision and technicality they display is sensational to watch every time. The Breitling Wingwalkers represent Breitling’s passion for aviation, aeronautical heritage and our company values of innovation, performance and precision.”
